I need a bit of advice. I am on the way to being severely in debt, and I don't really know what to do. First of all, I have a gigantic loan sticking over my head waiting until I finish school. And when I say gigantic, I mean it. It payed for 1 quarter of DigiPen (average of about $3-4000), $10K down payment on my car, my entire tuition at Olympic College (1 year, including one summer quarter, with $90 per credit),$400 in rent every month while I was attending DigiPen, and also to bail me out when I couldnt afford living expenses at my house. It also has 10% interest. On top of that, my mom had me go to this allergy clinic, where i will be treated with shots for about 3-5 years, depending upon when my allergies start to stop. The total bill for this is around $600, and it is starting to go into collections. I also have to make $87 car payments every month for 60 months, so far i have paid for 19 months. Not to mention I pay $350-450 every month for utilities, home phone, internet, cable, cell phone, car insurance, and other things my parents charge me. I also pay for my own food. Around $200 every time i go shopping, and I'm running out of food now. The big problem here is that I tried to get a new job (I am currently working at Anthony's Restaurant as a dish washer), but my mom would not let me. She is in control of my loans and can send the money back at any time, forcing me out of school. She threatened me with this because she is unhappy that i failed all 3 summer classes (classes I was also forced to take by my mother, even though I told her I did not want to) and does not want me getting a job outside of the restaurant industry (my friend could have got me a job at Radioshack). The reason I want a new job is because hours are going to drop drastically. I am already only getting 1 or 2 days a week, and my last paycheck was only $130 (for 2 weeks of work). I have no idea what I am going to do. If I do get a new job, then I also have to quit school and spend YEARS paying back my school loans. At that point, I can kiss the restaurant industry goodbye. If I keep my job, I cannot afford all the medical bills and payments that I have to make on a monthly basis. If anyone has any advice for me, please, help me. I don't know what I am going to do.
